Partial revision of “Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology” and “Implementation Guidelines for the Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology”
On April 21, 2026, in the National Security Council and the Cabinet, the Government of Japan partially revised “Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology” and “Implementation Guidelines for the Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology”.
Based on the revised “Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology” and “Implementation Guidelines for the Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology”, Japan Ministry of Defense will carry forward with the transfer of defense equipment and technology in the joint public and private efforts.
